Franchot Supports Rocky Gap Sale, Denounces “Sweetheart Deal”

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot used his vote in favor of the sale of the state’s Rocky Gap resort to denounce the prospect of a special legislative session to approve a “sweetheart deal” to allow a casino at Prince George’s County’s National Harbor complex.

Franchot explained that he was supporting the (Rocky Gap) deal in order to get rid of a ""one of the biggest white elephants ever imposed on the taxpayers of this state."
