CHESAPEAKE BEACH, MD – Seven “mini” casinos operating in Maryland were due to shut down this month as part of a sunset provision in Maryland’s law establishing casinos. The Maryland legislature, seldom willing to part with something they can tax, did an about face this year and six of the seven operations will now remain open.
