ANNAPOLIS, MD – While Senate President Mike Miller ran a bullet train through the Maryland Senate, passing Gov. Martin O’Malley’s gambling expansion package Friday night with a 28-14 vote, things have slowed in the House of Delegates.
On Friday, the House Ways and Means Committee held a five hour hearing, but no vote. On Saturday the gambling subcommittee met, but again, took no action. We’ll have to wait and see what happens today, but it is unlikely that any bill will move to a floor vote today.
