CRISFIELD, MD – The Coast Guard says one of its Baltimore-based crews rescued a 50-year-old man after his sailboat capsized in Tangier Sound near Crisfield. The man’s wife contacted the Coast Guard around 8:20 p.m. Saturday and reported that the boat had capsized and that he was sitting atop it. Coast Guard crew members responded and brought the man onboard their vessel. No one was reported injured.





HALLWOOD, VA – An EMS crew dispatched to a traffic accident on US 13 near Hallwood was attacked by an accident victim early Sunday morning. Bradley Colas, 23, of Virginia Beach became irritated with EMS workers who attempted to assist him after he ran off the road and struck a tree. Colas began fighting with the EMS personnel and stabbed two of them. Colas then pulled out a gun and began shooting.


CENTREVILLE, MD – Christopher Jones, 32, of Centreville was killed in a single car crash Sunday on Burrisville Road, near Strawberry Field Lane. Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s deputies found the car, upside down, around 6 AM Sunday. Jones was pinned under the car and died at the scene.




POCOMOKE CITY, MD – A Worcester County school bus was destroyed by fire just after 9PM Wednesday night. The fire began in the bus’s engine compartment and has been ruled an accident by the Worcester County Fire Marshal. The bus, owned by Kenneth Rantz, was completely destroyed.
